Teamwork

Every painting project in Lemont and suburban Chicago is special to us and we have found that teamwork between the home owner and the contractor helps to make the job run smoother and guarantees a positive final outcome considerably. The following is a list of what you can expect from us and what we need from you.

Exterior Jobs:

From us:

  • Quality workmanship, including neat painting, minimal damage to foliage and no new splatters on glass and hardware
  • Thorough preparation including scraping, sanding, caulking and filling of holes.
  • Masking of all windows (especially glass surfaces), doors, light fixtures and hardware when spray or roller painting.
  • Drop cloths used on concrete and foliage to protect from splatters.
  • Most dust on window glass may occur when sanding nearby. We do not clean window glass (dust or old paint splatters), unless discussed prior to job inception and included in written contract.
  • Old paint splatters and spills on existing surfaces are not removed, unless discussed prior to job inception and included in written contract.
  • Cosmetic perfection is impossible on exterior surfaces and all such expectations should be discussed prior to job inception. The job will turn out only as good as the surface we are painting.
  • Reasonable sweeping is done when scraping, but perfection is typically not achieved.
  • Detached sheds, fences and inside of garage doors are not included unless written in contract.
